I love being so disconnected!! I actually feel lighter. I’ve already finished a book, mended a pair
of shorts, and caught up on a ton of little things I’ve been meaning to do
around the house.
I am also realizing what a blessing it is that I don’t have
a smartphone. I’ve always had
it in the back of my mind that I might want one but I am currently too
cheap. And I can’t imagine how much time
I would spend on the internet if I had access to it all the time. This article puts things into perspective:
That’s $1808.76 minimum with a two year contract and
301 hours spent using it for a year.
Alternatively, I have my old fashioned phone that costs me around $1000 for two
years and zero hours of my precious time :)
i have to say i have a love/hate relationship with my iphone. i wish i had never gotten one because i think that would be easier to do then going without it now that i'm used to having it. it is very distracting, although i don't know what i'd do without the map feature. i have the worst sense of direction ever and i swear i use that thing to get to the grocery store.
