It is Saturday and I didn't drink 1/2 a bottle of red wine last night! The week days were great but last night I soooooo wanted some wine with my vegan sushi. I settled for bubbly water with lime...not even close!
If you like sushi and have never made your own, it is really easy.
Asparagus, cucumber, carrots, cilantro and avocado.
Spread short grain brown rice on the nori, load it up and roll (sometimes I add a line of sriracha sauce and tahini too).
So yummy!
Cut with a very sharp knife and enjoy with tamari.
The only other thing I have craved is cheese. I still have some around the house for the kids and when I make them a grilled cheese sandwich I drool into the pan. Luckily I found a substitute that isn't half bad. Daiya is the best vegan cheese I've found. It actually melts!
